Favorite Places!

I’ve done a bit of traveling in my day, and the trips I’ve taken with my husband, our kids, and now our grandkids hold some of my most cherished memories. My family didn’t travel much when I was a kid, except for camping during the summer. I’m no world traveler but I do feel blessed to have seen so much beauty that the world has to offer.

My husband and I did a lot of hiking, backpacking, and traveling when we first started going together, and we still thoroughly enjoy it when we can. Both our sons went through Boy Scouts, and because their troop was so active we were fortunate enough to do even more with them.

Some of my favorite trips have been here in the US, to Colorado & Utah, Florida, and the pacific northwest, but it’s such a thrill to travel abroad and see different places like Dublin, London, and Australia.

I’ve placed some links on here to some of my favorite places I’ve been or would like to go - let me know if you have any suggestions!

Yellowstone National Park - one of my all time favorite places!

Ouray, Colorado: an awesome town we've stayed in a few times on trips out west.

Salem, Massachusetts. It's fun to go in October, but it's one of my favorite places in New England year round. Short ferry ride to Boston, too!

Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park - so much amazing hiking!

The Great Sand Dunes in Colorado - so neat! I recommend camping at the park.

Walt Disney World- Everyone in my family loves going to Disney. Our favorite times to go are marathon weekend and the Princess half marathon weekend.

The Adirondacks in New York State, the biggest park in the United States!

The San Juan Islands in Washington.

The Little Museum of Dublin - the cutest museum and a good place to start if you've never been to the city.

The Irwins' zoo in Queensland, Australia.
